The Aquarium of Genoa whose structure was designed by architect Renzo Piano is located on Ponte Spinola in the Porto Antico.

At the aquarium you will find many species of fish and other marine organisms divided by geographical location, reptiles, dolphins, sharks, penguins, turtles and seals.

If you decide to visit the aquarium, take advantage of the special group ticket Aquarium Village which, also gives you access to the Bigo (a crane with a special panoramic lift), the Biosfera (a glass and steel sphere designed by renzo Piano houses a reconstruction of a tropical ecosystem from millions of years ago), City of Children, the Galata Museum (Museum of the Sea), the Submarine Nazauro Sauro (visited museum ship in water), The Nazauro Sauro Submarine (the largest Italian submarine that can be visted in water). To get to the aquarium by car, exit the motorway at Genova-Ovest; if you arrive by train, get off at Genova Piazza Principe Station. The aquarium is easily accessible from many points in the city by using bus services or the metro (get off at St. Giorgio Station).
